Crimson's physician data analytics platform replaces manual, paper-based reports with automated and detailed physician profiles. Profiles are created automatically for every physician in the hospital and can be viewed immediately. The Physician Management software delivers a 360-degree view of physician performance. It evaluates physicians on key quality and utilization measures, order set and guideline adherence, patient satisfaction, and other measures. Physicians can also drill down to individual encounters and events to gain further insights into their practice patterns.

The data you present in your physician profiles must be defensible. Crimson's software incorporates standard adjustment methodology (e.g. leveraging 3M's APR-DRG) to provide 'apples-to-apples' comparisons with peers, taking into account factors such as the type of patients treated, severity, physician specialty, and hospital type. The Crimson adjustment methodology negates such an argument and provides disease and severity-adjusted peer comparisons. The Physician Management software tracks a physician's compliance to an order set in pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and other categories. Compliance can be evaluated against the physician's outcomes for further confirmation that standardized orders are driving improved results. The software also integrates with Zynx™ Health evidence-based solution to track compliance to Zynx™ order sets. The physician profile can also link to evidence-based medicine (EBM) articles in a Zynx™ order set to provide supporting documentation for an order set.

Visualize Care Timelines

For every admission, the Crimson software reconstructs the care timeline that was followed by a physician and presents it in a visually compelling presentation to facilitate the identification of practice patterns and outlier actions. The timeline visually cues the physician to all events that occurred during the encounter. Care timelines may also serve as teaching tools, especially for in-house physicians.

Create Consultant Profiles

The physician profile paints a complete picture of a physician's practice. A complete set of performance results for the physician in the role of a consultant are presented by the software. Specialized measures for a subset of consulting physicians can also be presented.

Measure Group Performance

The Physician Management software also automatically combines individual results and calculates the performance of groups of physicians. It measures the performance of medical group entities, departments, specialties or any number of physicians who practice together on a regular basis. Groups can be created automatically by the software, or custom-defined. Crimson's software lets you view physician results at the facility level, providing your hospital administrators and CEOs access to a graphical summary of your system's performance and a picture of the current state of your system at a glance.
